Dear Friars,

Vocations Day of PrayerThe Lord’s Peace be with you!  This Sunday we celebrate the World Day of Prayer for Vocations.  This day was initiated April 11, 1964 by Pope Paul VI and successive Pontiffs have continued to celebrate it.

We are encouraged as a Worshipping community to give special attention to the beautiful call of a Religious Vocation in the Church.

I wanted to share with you some wonderful resources that may be useful for you as we celebrate the World Day of Prayer for Vocations.  Friars who are in Parish ministry will find the theme of the Holy Father’s Message quite appropriate (“Proposing Vocations in the Local Church”).  Sample intercessions for Mass are also available.

Thank you friars for your own witness to your Vocation!  May the Lord continue to bless our Province and Order with Men who wish to live in His Sacred Heart!  God bless you.

Fraternally,

Jonathan St. Andre, T.O.R.
